Kendra Gambit is finally starting the life she worked for.

Fresh out of college and beginning her career as a civil engineer, she’s determined to stand on her own feet—even if temporarily moving into her sister’s spectacular Sewickley home makes that independence feel slightly theoretical.

Then she meets Sinan Bachar.

Sin is a successful neurosurgeon, a devoted uncle, an excellent cook, and far too comfortable in the wealthy world Kendra still feels like she wandered into by mistake. He’s also older, established, and exactly the sort of complication she does not need at the beginning of her career.

Sin sees things differently.

Their attraction begins during a destination wedding in Turks and Caicos, but back in Pittsburgh, the differences between their lives are harder to ignore. Kendra is determined to prove she belongs because of what she can do, not because of who she knows. Sin has spent years carrying his own family expectations with considerably more ease than Kendra believes possible.

Neither expects the other to become the person who makes those assumptions worth questioning.

Kebabs and Kisses is a warm contemporary romantic comedy about an ambitious young engineer, an older neurosurgeon, and two people discovering that belonging has much less to do with where you came from than who chooses to stand beside you.
